Columbus debt collection company goes above and beyond to help those in need!
Columbus, January 16, 2015 – Choice Recovery, a Columbus-based collection agency, announces its Customer Care Department has set a goal to find employment for 150 more people in 2015. Created less than a year ago, this unique Customer Care Department has so far helped 52 individuals who were in collections with Choice Recovery find new jobs.
Customer Care works with hundreds of people, both in Columbus and around the country, who struggle with unemployment – a primary reason that they fell behind with their bills. “Our Customer Care Department’s primary mission is to get people working again and its services are offered at no cost,” said John Olmstead, Chief Operating Officer at Choice Recovery.
Olmstead further explained that the company realized that many Americans, particularly those in collections, were hit hard by lay-offs and the challenges of competing in a tough job market – and decided to do something to help. “Customer Care was created to help address the needs of the unemployed and under-employed consumers whose debt was turned over to us for collections,” he added.
“Customer Care has been a true blessing to me,” said Kelly Perryman from Cincinnati.
Perryman received assistance with his resume and found a part-time job while he continues the search for full-time employment.
John Blaney of St. John’s, FL also credits Choice Recovery for helping him find a new job after being laid off from a bank one year ago. He now works full-time in outside sales and said it was the assistance and encouragement of the Customer Care staff that helped make that possible. “I applied and went through two interviews with Encore and was hired. Thanks to Choice Recovery, my family has a home to live in and meals to eat. Customer Care is definitely the proper name of the department,” Blaney said.
Customer Care has a proven system for changing people’s lives. In addition to helping to find employment for consumers in debt, the department staff assists consumers in navigating and working through the often-complex systems of government assistance, healthcare, and GED programs. “Customer Care sheds a new view of what a collection agency can do. I salute their decision to create a department to assist those who need more help,” said Columbus resident Bruce Kline. He received assistance with constructing his resume and is currently searching for a job.
Licensed to collect nationwide, Choice Recovery has been providing debt recovery services since 1997 and currently partners with over 4,500 healthcare practices, higher education institutions, and commercial companies. In 2013 and 2014, the company received one of Columbus CEO magazine’s “Small Business Top Workplace” designations, and was also recognized nationally in November 2013 and 2014 as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the collections industry.
