Columbus Ohio Collection Agency Reaches out to Help Local Families and Mid-Ohio Food Bank

COLUMBUS, Ohio December 13, 2013 – Choice Recovery, a Columbus-based collection agency, is again helping to make a difference during this holiday season by providing a sizable donation to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.

This year, Choice Recovery and its staff of 75 have been collecting loose change through its annual “Penny Wars,” with two teams driving the effort in a friendly office competition.
President of Choice Recovery, Chad Silverstein, said that the staff came through in a big way, with $3,672.10 collected among both teams – the most raised in a single year since Penny Wars began in 2008. That $3,672.10 will be matched by sponsors of the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, bringing the total for the 2013 fundraising effort to $7,344.22 – enough to provide 29,376 meals. Silverstein said his team is committed to helping others and having a positive influence in the community.

Since 2008, the team at Choice Recovery has collectively raised and donated over $12,000 for local and international causes, including the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House, Make-a-Wish Foundation, the Capital Area Humane Society, Haitian Earthquake Relief, Special Olympics and more.

Choice Recovery, Inc was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in Collections. This program was created by insideARM.com and Best Companies Group.

This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the collections industry, benefiting the nation’s economy, its workforce and businesses. This year, more companies than ever participated and 35 met the standard to be selected. The Best Places to Work in Collections list is divided into three size categories: Small (15-74 employees), Medium (75-249 employees) and Large (250+ employees).

Companies from across the U.S. entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Collections.
